1. Introduction and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is issued by Central Services & Solutions Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales, trading as SwiftBusiness ("we", "us", "our"). Our registered office is Wansbeck Workspace, Rotary Parkway, Ashington, Northumberland, NE63 8QZ. Company No. 13735404.
This AUP governs access to and use of the SwiftBusiness platform, website, APIs, mobile applications, and all associated services (collectively, the "Platform"), accessible at swiftbusiness.co.uk and any subdomain thereof.

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
This policy applies to all users including businesses, sole traders, limited companies, partnerships, residential customers, authorised representatives, and any third parties accessing the Platform on behalf of others.
2. Permitted Use
The Platform is provided for lawful, legitimate, and personal or commercial use only. You may use SwiftBusiness to:
- Obtain, compare, and review utility quotes for your own business premises or household
- Submit utility switching applications and manage energy, water, broadband, and telecoms contracts
- Apply for business finance products on behalf of your own registered business or as a sole trader
- Upload, store, and manage business documents, utility bills, and related correspondence
- Access AI-assisted market insights, savings recommendations, and contract intelligence
- Manage account settings, billing information, and authorised user access
- Submit Letters of Authority (LOAs) and related compliance documentation
- Communicate with our team via supported in-platform messaging channels
Use of the Platform must at all times be in good faith, for the purpose for which it is intended, and in compliance with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Platform, directly or indirectly, for any of the following:
3.1 Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Provide false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information at any stage of registration, quoting, or application
- Impersonate any individual, business, director, or authorised representative
- Misrepresent your authority to act on behalf of a company, partnership, or other legal entity
- Submit applications, quotes, or switching requests with no genuine intention of proceeding
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, obtain inflated quotes, or manipulate eligibility criteria
- Use fabricated, altered, or third-party documents as your own
3.2 Automated Abuse and Data Scraping
- Access or query the Platform using bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, or any automated tool without our prior written authorisation
- Systematically extract, harvest, or copy pricing data, supplier information, tariff data, market intelligence, or any other content from the Platform
- Use the Platform to gather competitive intelligence for commercial use by a third party
- Circumvent rate-limiting, CAPTCHA, or other technical controls designed to prevent automated access
- Mirror, cache, or republish Platform content without express written permission
3.3 Cybersecurity and System Integrity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other user accounts, administrative systems, supplier portals, or our infrastructure
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or any connected systems without authorisation
- Introduce, transmit, or facilitate the spread of malware, ransomware, viruses, Trojans, worms, or other harmful code
- Conduct denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks or overload any component of our infrastructure
- Intercept, monitor, or manipulate network traffic or communications between users and the Platform
- Exploit any bug, vulnerability, or security flaw — these must be reported immediately to garrykelly@centralservicessolutions.co.uk
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code or algorithms from the Platform
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with authentication, encryption, or access-control mechanisms
3.4 Intellectual Property Infringement
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content, trademarks, logos, or materials without prior written consent
- Use our brand name, trading name "SwiftBusiness", or any associated marks in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without authorisation
- Upload or submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or database rights
3.5 Unlawful and Harmful Conduct
- Use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful under English and Welsh law or any applicable jurisdiction
- Facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, sanctions breaches, bribery, or financial crime
- Process or store personal data of third parties through the Platform in breach of UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018
- Harass, intimidate, threaten, or abuse our employees, contractors, suppliers, or other users
- Submit content that is defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful
- Facilitate or encourage others to breach this AUP or any applicable law
3.6 Fair Usage and Platform Integrity
- Engage in activity that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or systems
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the Platform without our prior written agreement
- Use the Platform to build a competing product or service, or to benchmark against a competitor without our consent
- Artificially inflate usage metrics, quote volumes, or engagement data
4. Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:
- Keep your login credentials strictly confidential and not share them with unauthorised individuals
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication where available
- Notify us immediately at garrykelly@centralservicessolutions.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access, compromise, or suspicious activity on your account
- Ensure that any team members, employees, or agents you grant access to the Platform have read and agreed to comply with this AUP
- Accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of any person you authorise to use your account
- Keep your account information, contact details, and business information accurate and up to date
- Promptly remove access for any individuals who are no longer authorised to act on your behalf
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
5. Content and Uploads
By uploading documents, utility bills, identification, financial statements, or any other content to the Platform, you confirm that:
- You own the content or hold all necessary rights and permissions to share it
- The content is accurate, complete, and genuine to the best of your knowledge
- The content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
- The content does not contain malware, harmful code, or embedded tracking mechanisms
- You have obtained any required third-party consents for personal data included in the content
- You are authorised to submit any Letters of Authority or legal documents on behalf of the entity named
We reserve the right to review, reject, quarantine, or delete any content that we reasonably believe breaches this AUP or applicable law. We accept no liability for the accuracy of content you submit.
6. Third-Party Suppliers, Lenders, and Partners
The Platform connects you with third-party energy suppliers, utility providers, financial lenders, and service partners. When using these services, you acknowledge that:
- Third parties have their own terms and conditions, acceptable use policies, and eligibility requirements, which you are independently responsible for reviewing and complying with
- Your application data, identity information, and financial details may be shared with relevant third parties as part of the quoting, switching, or finance application process, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Notice
- We act as an introducer and comparison platform only — we are not a party to contracts formed between you and third-party suppliers or lenders
- Misuse of third-party services accessed via the Platform may result in your details being reported to that third party and/or to relevant regulatory bodies
- Finance products are subject to eligibility, credit assessment, and lender approval — submitting false information to a lender via our Platform is a criminal offence under the Fraud Act 2006
7. Automated Decision-Making and AI-Assisted Services
The Platform uses AI-assisted tools, algorithms, and automated systems to generate recommendations, savings estimates, and market insights. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated recommendations are indicative only and should not be relied upon as professional financial, legal, or commercial advice
- Automated outputs are based on data you provide and publicly available market information — accuracy depends on the completeness of your input
- Where automated decisions materially affect your eligibility or access to services, you may request a manual review by contacting garrykelly@centralservicessolutions.co.uk
- We will not use fully automated decision-making processes to make legally significant decisions about you without human oversight, in accordance with UK GDPR Article 22
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in and to the Platform — including software, design, content, data, algorithms, trademarks, and trade secrets — are owned by or licensed to Central Services & Solutions Ltd.
- Nothing in this AUP or your use of the Platform grants you any ownership rights in our intellectual property
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purposes during the term of your account
- This licence does not permit sub-licensing, commercial exploitation, or use of our IP in any materials without written consent
- You retain ownership of content you upload, subject to the licence granted to us in our Terms & Conditions to process and store your data for service delivery
9. Monitoring and Investigation
We reserve the right to monitor Platform activity for security, fraud prevention, compliance, and quality assurance purposes. This includes:
- Reviewing account activity logs, access patterns, and usage data
- Investigating suspected breaches of this AUP or applicable law
- Retaining records of activity for evidential purposes in line with our data retention policy
- Using automated tools to detect anomalous behaviour, scraping activity, or fraudulent submissions
- Sharing relevant information with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, or fraud prevention agencies where required or permitted by law
Monitoring is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation. You should not have any expectation of privacy in content you submit to or transmit through the Platform where we are required to monitor it for lawful purposes.
10. Regulatory Compliance
You must ensure your use of the Platform complies with all applicable UK laws and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:
- UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 — in relation to any personal data you process or share via the Platform
- The Fraud Act 2006 — in relation to any information submitted in connection with finance or credit applications
- The Computer Misuse Act 1990 — in relation to unauthorised access to computer systems
- The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) — if you are regulated or providing financial services
- The Consumer Rights Act 2015 — where applicable to residential users
- The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 — in relation to money laundering and financial crime
- FCA regulations — including conduct rules where credit broking, insurance, or regulated finance introductions are involved
- Ofgem and Ofwat requirements — where applicable to energy and water switching activities
We maintain our own regulatory compliance obligations and may be required to report suspected breaches to relevant authorities without prior notice to you.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, including where we reasonably believe that you have:
- Breached any provision of this AUP, our Terms & Conditions, or any other applicable policy
- Engaged in fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity
- Submitted false or misleading information
- Caused or posed a risk of harm to us, our systems, our partners, or other users
- Received a request or order to do so from a regulatory authority or law enforcement
- Become insolvent, been wound up, or ceased trading (for business accounts)
We will endeavour to provide notice of suspension where it is safe and lawful to do so. In cases of serious suspected fraud or security breach, suspension may occur without prior notice. Where an account is suspended or terminated:
- Access to your data will be suspended during the investigation period
- We will retain records in accordance with our data retention obligations
- Any outstanding applications, quotes, or switching processes may be cancelled
- You may appeal a suspension by contacting garrykelly@centralservicessolutions.co.uk within 14 days
12. Consequences of Breach
Breach of this AUP may result in:
- Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account
- Removal of any content that breaches this AUP without prior notice
- Civil legal action to recover losses, damages, or costs caused by your misuse
- Reporting of suspected criminal activity to the police, Action Fraud, the FCA, the ICO, or other relevant authorities
- Referral to fraud prevention databases and credit reference agencies where applicable
- Notification to third-party suppliers or lenders affected by misuse through our Platform
We reserve all rights and remedies available to us under English law.
13. Reporting a Breach
If you believe that another user is violating this AUP, or if you have identified a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately:
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We ask that security vulnerabilities are disclosed to us responsibly and not publicly until we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We accept no liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from your breach of this AUP
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Central Services & Solutions Ltd, its directors, employees, agents, and partners against any claims, costs, damages, or liabilities arising from your misuse of the Platform
- Nothing in this AUP limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time to reflect changes in law, regulation, platform capabilities, or industry practice. Where changes are material, we will:
- Notify registered users by email or in-platform notification with at least 14 days' notice where reasonably practicable
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
- Maintain an archive of previous versions upon request
Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated AUP constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Platform and close your account.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This AUP is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this AUP shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
